Step 1
Heat your water to 200°F (94°C). Use filtered water if possible. Don’t have a kettle with temperature control? Boil and let sit for about 1 minute.
Step 2
Weigh out your coffee, grind, and add it to the French press.
Step 3
Pour water over the grounds and stir to saturate everything evenly.
Step 4
Let sit for 4 minutes, then break up the crust that forms on top.
Step 5
Steep for another 4 minutes, then slowly press the plunger down to avoid disturbing the grounds.
Step 6
Pour and enjoy!
